Dr. Dal Canto is a senior clinical embryologist with twenty years of hands-on laboratory experience on IVF techniques, with outstanding credentials and proven record of results.
A University of Pisa graduate, she has Involved in creation and development of research projects, both in animal and human field, in collaboration with diverse Universities and private groups.
Current research interests include in vitro maturation of human oocytes, oocyte and cumulus cells transcriptomics and oocyte cytoskeletal dynamics. Recently her efforts are directed to the study of the ultra-structure of the human oocyte by confocal microscopy and to the study of the early mitotic divisions of human embryo by time lapse microscopy.
Dr. Dal Canto has delivered lectures in many national and international conferences and has been invited as teacher in a number of workshops. She has trained many embryologist worldwide and produced an extensive range of scientific publications. She is a regular reviewer for reproduction journals (Fertility & Sterility, Human Reproduction, RBMO, JARG).
She is the Laboratory Director of Biogenesi Reproductive Centres and Clinica Eugin Modena, is an Associate Professor at the University of Milan-Bicocca, Italy, and serves on the Scientific Committee of the Italian Society for Embryology (SIERR).
