Amelia Rodríguez-Aranda, MD, PhD

Amelia obtained her medical degree in 2001 and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2006 at the University of Seville, Spain. She then trained in reproductive medicine in several clinics in New York, Rome and Madrid before joining Clínica Ginemed, a Reproduction and Gynaecological Centre in Seville in 2006. In 2010, she joined Clínica Eugin in Barcelona, where she is Medical Director since March 2013; in 2016, her director duties expanded to all clinics of the Eugin Group. Her main research interests are ART technique training and the application of new ultrasound technologies to human reproduction. She earned her PhD on “Training in ART” in the UB University of Barcelona in June 2017. She has co-authored multiple research papers in international scientific journals and is a regular speaker at national and international meetings.

Désirée García, PhD, Scientific Coordinator

Desirée has degrees in Pharmacy and Statistics. Having previously worked in Madrid and Paris in the pharmaceutical industry, she joined Clínica Eugin as Scientific Coordinator of our Research & Development Department. Currently, she is a member of the Ethics Committee for Clinical Research of Clinica Eugin, manages all research studies performed in Eugin, whether medical, paramedical or basic, and ensures that all our research projects meet methodological, ethical and regulatory standards.

Mercè Durban, PhD, Laboratory Coordinator

Merce holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the UB, a Masters degree in Gereral managment Program from the EADA Business School and a PhD in Biology (Preconceptional Genetic Diagnosis) from the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona. She has over 20 years of experience in Clinical Embryology and has worked at Eugin since 2002. She has presented work on cytogenetics and embryology in numerous scientific meetings and has published in internationally reputed scientific journals. She is currently involved in several scientific projects and is responsible for coordination and tutoring of practical training of staff in the Clinical Laboratory of Eugin.

Meritxell Martínez, Senior Clinical Embryologist

Meritxell has degree in Biology and Master in Assisted Reproduction Techniques (ART). After working in several fertility laboratories she joined Clinical Eugin in 2009. In 2014 Meritxell earned a Master’s in Research and is currently working on her PhD Project, focused on Time Lapse Systems as a research tool to study early embryo development.

Anna Blazquez Ventura, MD

Anna has a degree in Medicine and General Surgery and a postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She worked as a physician in the private and public health service sector in Spain until she joined the Reproductive Medicine team of Clinica Eugin. She is currently pursuing her PhD degree, focusing the study of hypertensive disorders during pregnancy (pre-eclampsia) in assisted reproductive technologies.

Noemí Martin-Palomino Olid, Clinical embryologist

Noemí completed her undergraduate studies in biology at the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2011. After a 6 month fellowship at the James Hutton Institute located in Aberdeen (Scotland), she joined Eugin’s fertility laboratory, where she is executing a research project focused on in vitro maturation of the metaphase I oocytes retrieved after a follicular puncture.
